Booking Extension – collecting feature requests
Booking module is something to be spoken about a lot, but noone has achieved this as a module. We are going to fullfill this gap. Estimated development start date – 26 Feb 2009. Till then, we’d like to collect as much as possible feature requests. Please feel free to leave your ideas in the comments to this post. As usually, the most active contributors receive significant discounts.
Let’s start with this thread: http://www.magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/14973/, so no need to repeat it. We are going to cover a lot: hotel booking, lecture/theatre booking (with row-seat), car rental, restaurants, services, merchandise.

Hi. im from Brazil.
i suggest this module can be enable to various languages. an e.g:
in case of hotel, it can receive orders/tourists from any contry of world. so, it is important to this module have a support to differente languages (like, english, espanol, portuguese-brazil, french, …), for the custommer choice his language. other point is the currency (dollar, euro, BRL, libres, etc…).
other suggestions: the admin can add one more hotel (or other busines), because it is possible to the owner have various hotels, and admin all in the same magento area. other is the admin can setup images or videos for each room, and price for each room. its a simple suggestions. i will think about and post when have new suggestions. sorry for my english. thanks. congratulations for the great job! i hope this can enable shortly.

the first part of features (translations and currencies) are more in the scope of Magento itself, not the extension, we are just adding another product type. This also answers your nexct question – yes, it would be possible to create differnet rooms and different hotels products.
i forget… it is important to admin can create special ‘packages’ like honey moon, vacations, shows in the city, etc. each one with respective price…
and of course, the booking needs to manage each room, in the dates checkin-checkout… a total control of rooms ocuppation. other is, if an agency want to make an external reservation, it can be done too. not only the admin. to this, is important to the admin create something a ‘agency’ account.
We’ll try to implement everythihng, can’t promise in the first version, but in the following for sure. Thanks.

I´m looking for a product like this one but with one more feature. I need to work with closed packages. It´s something like one price for package described in the example below:
_Hotel booking weekend package starting from friday to sunday for $800,00.
Another feature very important is a way to add an extra bed for a third person and add a price for that.
I hope that you have the solution so we can do business as soon as possible.

The Booking and Reservations extension allows you to set the certain price for any period, but it is for product only – there is no possibility to create packages.
What’s about your second requirement – you can do it with native Magento Custom Options available for each product type.
