Some help desk departments may deal with quite sensitive data that needs to be kept in secret or may have access limitations at least. In this case, store owners need to differentiate permissions of certain Magento admins for those departments and that’s exactly what the new feature offers.

From now on, each department has own permissions segmenting the admins able to view, update or assign tickets. Creating a new department you can choose user roles allowed to manage tickets within and this way restrict access to the provided information.

The Migration Tool for Help Desk Tickets

According to the feedback from our customers, Magento stores are massively taking the path of active migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2. In order to make this process smooth and organized we offer the migration script starting from the current version of the Help Desk Ultimate extension.

The script is able to import help desk tickets from Magento 1 databases and move them to the newly created store. The data transmission is carried out via Data Migration Tool using the provided Migration script, much similar to the blog posts migration process.

Note: Detailed information on the process and its specifics is provided in the extension’s user guide.

As a result, the tickets from Magento 1 store will be moved to the new destination fitting the new environment, e.g.new ticket statuses, priorities, website structure, etc.
